'Error 2738.Could not access VBScript run time for custom action' gets returned during the installation of the 'PROFIBUSRemoteMasterV1.3' software,
This error message indicates that the VBScript engine is either not registered or has an incorrect value in the registry for the PC operating system. This is a Windows operating system related issue and has nothing to do with the 'PROFIBUSRemoteMasterV1.3' software. To register the vbscript.dll:
Note: If you are using 32-bit version of Windows:
Type cd %windir%\system32 into the Command Prompt and hit Enter
If you are using 64-bit version of Windows:
Type cd %windir%\syswow64 into the Command Prompt and hit Enter

This error message indicates that the VBScript engine is either not registered or has an incorrect value in the registry for the PC operating system. To resolve the issue you can try one of the the following
- Perform a clean boot of the PC and then try installing the DFB again.
- Register the VBScript engine (vbscript.dll ).
To register the vbscript.dll:
- Log into the PC as a Windows system administrator.
- Click on Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click on 'Command Prompt' and select 'Run as administrator'.
- Change the pathname to the appropriate pathname for the location (see note below) of the 'vbscript.dll' file.
- Type 'regsvr32 vbscript.dll' into the Command Prompt and hit Enter
Note: If you are using 32-bit version of Windows:
Type cd %windir%\system32 into the Command Prompt and hit Enter
If you are using 64-bit version of Windows:
Type cd %windir%\syswow64 into the Command Prompt and hit Enter
If the above procedures fails to resolve the issue, try
- Log into the PC as a Windows system administrator.
- Backup the registry or create a restore point.
- Click on Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click on 'Command Prompt' and select 'Run as administrator'.
- Type in 'Regedt32' and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.
- Click on 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID'
- Locate the registry key named '{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}'
- Right click on the key named '(B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8)'
- Click on 'Delete. (This removes the incorrect entry for VBScript support on 64-bit Windows 7).
- Close the 'Registry Editor'.
