The XW6848 unit keeps cycling between load shave and AC passthrough and it doesn't remain in one state?

Issue:

XW6848 inverter/charger is repeatedly cycling between AC Passthrough and Load Shave mode.

Product Line:

• XW6848
• XW5548
• XW6048
• XW4548
• XW4024

Environment:

Installations using the XW hybrid inverter/charger.

Cause:

The inverter is switching between Load Shave and AC Passthrough because the battery voltage is fluctuating around the Load Shave exit threshold.

The XW uses the following logic:

Load Shave Exit Voltage = Recharge Volts + 0.5 V

If the battery voltage repeatedly rises above and falls below this threshold, the inverter will continuously alternate between:

Load Shave Mode →
AC Passthrough Mode →
back into Load Shave Mode

This creates the cycling behavior the user observes.

Diagram Reference:

Load Shave Mode

Resolution:

Adjust the Recharge Volts setting so the battery voltage does not hover near Recharge Volts + 0.5 V.
OR ensure that renewable energy (solar, etc.) can maintain the battery voltage above the Load Shave exit threshold, preventing the mode from oscillating.
