The HOM5RK hold down screw secures one Homeline, high amp (150 - 200 A) 2 pole (requires 4 spaces) branch circuit breaker to the interior when used as a backfed main breaker.
NOTE: PLEASE SEE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH THE BRANCH BREAKER FOR MOUNTING LOCATIONS OF THE BACK-FED BREAKER.
This hold down screw can ONLY be used for Homeline, convertible main lug load centers, series S__ rated 150 - 225 A max.
The hold down screw will mount through a hole in the branch breaker casing and tighten agains the inside back of the enclosure.
The attached video is ONLY to supplement the INSTRUCTIONS that come with the kit. PLEASE make sure to read the instructions and all the below Safety Information that is located in the instructions BEFORE working on any electrical equipment.
A PDF copy of the complete instructions is attached below the video.
Make sure to turn OFF ALL Power supplying the equipment and verify the power is OFF using a properly rated voltage sensing device, BEFORE working on or with electrical equipment.
1) Once all Safety steps are followed, begin the hold-down screw installation by following the instructions.
2) Make sure to obtain the correct 2-pole, 150-200amp, Homeline branch breaker to be used as the back-fed Main and DO NOT exceed the maximum rating marked on each load center.
3) As shown in step 3, on page 2 of the intructions, install the steel hold-down screw throught the hole in the circuit breaker and tighten so that the screw contacts the back inside of the enclosure (see Figure 1 for location)
4) Verify that there are no conductors/wires trapped between the screw and the back of the enclosure.
NOTE: The screw DOES NOT thread into the box, it only prevents the circuit breaker from rotating to the "removal" position.
