Why doesn’t the fault relay change state when an external fault is activated on an ATV630 drive?

Resolution:

If the fault relay does not change state after an external fault is triggered, it is likely due to the auto-restart function being enabled on the ATV630 drive.

When auto-restart is active, the drive will delay activating the fault relay until the configured auto-restart time delay has expired. During this delay period, the relay may not immediately reflect the fault condition.

Key Point

  • The fault relay will only change state after the auto-restart delay completes, not immediately when the external fault occurs.
