What basic programming changes are required when replacing an ATV66 with an ATV630 in a Trane unit?

When replacing an ATV66 drive with an ATV630 in a Trane unit, you must update the wiring assignments and key parameters to match the new drive’s configuration. These are the Key Programming and Wiring Changes:
1. Digital Inputs (DI) Reassignment
- Run Forward command:
- ATV66: LI2 → Run Forward
- ATV630: Move LI2 wire to DI1 (Run Forward)
- Run Permissive (Enable):
- ATV66: LI1 → Run Permissive
- ATV630: Move LI1 wire to DI2 (nSt / Stop)
2. Stop Configuration
- Go to: Complete Settings → Generic Functions → Stop Configuration
- Assign Freewheel Stop to DI2
3. Reverse Command
- Go to: Complete Settings → Command and Reference
- Set Reverse Assignment = NO
4. Analog Input (AI)
- ATV66 had a temperature sensor (resistive type) assigned to AI2. This input is not used on ATV630
- Configure AI1 as Frequency Reference:
- Path: 5. Complete Settings → 5.5 Command and Reference → Ref Frequency 1 Config = AI1
5. Hand/Auto Switching
- ATV66: LI3 used for Hand/Auto selection
- ATV630:
- Set DI3 to “Ref 1B Switching”
- Path: 5. Complete Settings → 5.5 Command and Reference → Ref 1B Switching = DI3
6. Fault Reset
- ATV66: LI4 used for fault reset
- ATV630:
- Assign DI4 as Fault Reset
- Path: 5. Complete Settings → 5.12 Error/Warning Handling → Fault Reset → Fault Reset Assign = DI4
