General Information
This flange mounted operating mechanism is designed to operate the PowerPact B Circuit breakers 2-3 pole. The flange-mounted handle cable operating mechanism is for use with Class 9422 Type A handle operators especially designed for tall, deep enclosures where placement flexibility is required.

The cable operator maintains:

• Suitability for isolation.
• Indication of three positions: O (OFF), I (ON) and tripped
• Access to push-to-test.
• The circuit breaker may be locked in the OFF position by one to three padlocks, 3/16-5/16 in. (4-8 mm) in diameter, not supplied.
• Door can be locked closed due to interlocking features of the handle operator.

The handle is mounted on flange of enclosure using specified mounting dimensions while circuit breaker and operating mechanism are mounted to inside of enclosure using two screws.

• Cable is available in 0.9, 1.5, 2.1, or 3 m (3, 5, 7, or 10 ft.) lengths to accommodate a variety of mounting locations.
• Handles are available in painted Type 1, 3, 3R, 4 (sheet steel) and 12 ratings or chrome Type 4, 4X. Operating handle assemblies which can be used with this kit are: Class 9422 Types A1, A2, A3, A4.

Notes:

1. The design is intended primarily for right hand flange mounting. The flange mounted handle can be left hand flange mounted, however, the cable cannot be moved on the operating mechanism for true left hand mounting.
2. The mechanism is designed specifically for the PowerPact B Circuit Breakers
3. Bend radius in cable must never be less than 152 mm (6 in.). Electrical clearances must be maintained between cable and live electrical parts and looping of excess cable is NOT recommended (use shorter version, if required).
4. The cable lengths are not workable lengths, meaning that the published cable length is measured from tip to tip which means that about 6" on each end is captivated by the operating drive mechanism.
