What can cause an ENF [Encoder] Fault on an ATV340 series drive and how do I correct it?

An encoder fault on the ATV340 series drive can have multiple causes Ranging from a configuration or wiring issue to a bad encoder.   Please follow the following steps to verify the drive is configured properly:

 Verify the configuration parameters for the encoder used.
 Verify the mechanical and electrical operation of the encoder.
 Check the consistency between the encoder signals and the direction of rotation of the motor.
 If necessary, reverse the direction of rotation of the motor ([Output Ph rotation] PHr parameter)
