ATV Drive with "Connection in Progress" message displayed on a remote mounted keypad.
Issue:
ATV320 (and most other ATV drives) is not working with a remote mounted keypad. Keypad shows "Connection in Progress"

Altivar Machine (320 and 340)
Altivar Process (600 and 900)
Altivar 61/71
Altivar 212
Altivar 480 softstart
Resolution:
Verify baudrate and format of the ModBus port used for the keypad are set to 19200 baud and 8E1 (8 bits, Even parity, 1 stop bit).
Cycle power to the drive if these settings are changed.
If settings are correct, then review cable routing and connections between drive and keypad.
Communication cables routed near power wiring will be susceptible to electrical noise which can disrupt communication.
