Issue:
ATV61 and ATV71 Ethernet option cards have been discontinued in the US. Why and what options are available for customers?

These option cards are no longer available for sale for new installations in the US due to a recently updated Cyber Security law (CA Title 24).
These parts are still available as repair parts for customers with existing installations. The customer should contact Drive Products Support via chat on our website, by phone (888-778-2733 followed by Option 2: Technical Support, and then Option 4: Drives and Soft Starters) or by email (drive.products.support@schneider-electric.com) to establish a case number and document the previous installation.
(Product Support can route the request to the team that can accept and process the order.)
NOTE: VW3A3316 and VW3A3320 are intended to be stocked in limited quantities in the US. VW3A3310D, VW3A3326 and VW3A3327 are not going to be stocked in the US but can be made available by special order.
New installations requiring Ethernet communication, or updates to current installations that do not currently have one of these option cards installed should consider upgrading to our current Altivar Process and Altivar Machine products.
Customers considering replacing a VW3A3310D option card with the VW3A3320 should check the firmware version of the drive to ensure compatibility.
ATV61 drives with firmware less than V6.6 IE43 and ATV71 drives with firmware less than V6.5 IE89 may not be compatible with the current version (V1.1 IE19).
If the drive firmware needs to be updated the Control board kit for the drive will have to be ordered and installed.
