How can you turn ERMS Maintenance Mode OFF on an MTZ breaker if turned on via a switch, but the switch is not installed?

Issue:
How to turn ERMS to OFF without a switch.  How to disable ERMS on Masterpact MTZ with ESM Module installed.  This procedure may be helpful when removing the breaker from the cell for primary or secondary injection testing. See attachments.

Product Line:
Circuit Breakers

Resolution:

  1. Apply 24 Vdc to the ULP port F1-/F2+ terminals, using a USB cable to turn ON the control unit will not energize the ESM module.
  2. Apply 24Vdc to the ESM terminals 484/471 to disengage ERMS (otherwise it will stay engaged even when step 2 is done)
  3. Using EPC, go into accessory declarations and turn off ESM. (Un-declare the ESM in the control unit)

This process will disable the ERMS function in the control unit.

See attachment for ESM wiring diagram and detailed wiring instructions.
