Can the G shunt trip on an F or K frame breaker used with the GFM also be used to trip the breaker from a remote source?

No. Applying voltage to the G shunt trip will also apply voltage to the unprotected GFM output and will damage the GFM. Also, the G shunt trip has no coil clearing switch and will burn out on a longer than momentary contact.
