The 800 A and 1200 A heavy duty safety switches accept class L fuses ONLY. With class L fuses installed, the switches are UL listed for use on systems with up to 200,000 RMS symmetrical amperes available fault current.
NOTE: DO NOT USE RENEWABLE LINK FUSES IN SQUARE D SAFETY SWITCHES. The use of renewable link fuses may adversely affect user safety, impair reliability and will void the warranty.
NOTE: Class L fuse is a 600 V construction fuse that is used in the 240 V rated switches
