How to solve “Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Schneider Electric Shared\SRCSDK\Srcsdk.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770. Contact your support personnel.”

Getting error “Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Schneider Electric Shared\SRCSDK\Srcsdk.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770. Contact your support personnel.” when installing Vijeo Designer 6.2

Generally, when this Error 1904 occurs, it means you have a newer version of the SRCSDK.dll file on your PC. This happens when EcoStruxure Control Expert is already installed on the PC. This file is to allow Vijeo Designer to import XVM files without having Control Expert installed on the PC already. If you already have Control Expert (or Unity installed), there should not be any issue with this error if you "ignore" this part of the Vijeo Designer install (because it just keeps the DLL that is installed with Control Expert previously). Just make sure to install Vijeo Designer and subsequent Service Packs as Adminstrator.

Please try ignoring the error and continuing with the installation.

If everything goes properly, please test linking an XVM file exported from Control Expert's Variable list to see if it works.

If so, then you don't have to do anything at this point.

If after this you are having issues, please try the following if you have Control Expert installed:

1. Uninstall Vijeo Designer and Control Expert

2. Delete the following folder: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Schneider Electric Shared\SRCSDK"

3. Install Vijeo Designer 6.2 and any subsequent Service Packs as Administrator

4. Once Vijeo Designer is installed, re-install Ecostruxure Control Expert as Administrator.
