SAGE Config to Excel Tool Not Found for SAGE RTU Configuration Documentation

Issue

The client cannot find the tool named SAGE Config to Excel Tool, which is required to convert SAGE RTU configuration files into XML format for documentation purposes and for easier handling of port mappings.

Cause

The SAGE Config to Excel Tool is not included by default with standard SAGE RTU software installations and may not be widely known.
Additionally, the tool will not function correctly if it is not pointed to the correct directory inside the configuration file structure.

Resolution

Schneider Electric provides the SAGE Config to Excel Tool as a stand-alone utility to convert SAGE RTU configuration files into XML format, which can then be used for documentation and easier review of port mappings.

Important note:
For the tool to work correctly, it must be directed to the XML folder located inside the RTU configuration files directory. Selecting a higher-level or incorrect folder will prevent successful conversion.

The tool has been shared and attached to this article. Download the utility, extract it locally, and ensure the correct XML configuration folder is selected when running the tool.
