How do I activate a license offline using the "By Web Portal" option?


Product Lines:

Software licenses in A-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format

Licenses activated using the Schneider Electric License Manager and Floating License Manager.


Resolution:

If the computer where the license will be activated does not have internet access, you can use the "By Web Portal" activation method.

Step 1: Generate the Activation Request File

1. Open Schneider Electric (Floating) License Manager.
2. Click Activate, select By Web Portal, and then click Next after reviewing the overview of the activation steps to proceed.
3. Enter your Activation ID and click Next.
4. Save the generated .XML request file.
  • Do not rename or modify the file.
  • It is recommended to save it to your desktop for easy access.

5. Keep the (Floating) License Manager open and continue clicking Next until you reach the Complete Activation page, where you will be prompted to upload a response file.

Step 2: Generate the Response File via MySchneider
1. Log in to MySchneider: https://www.se.com/myschneider/
2. Navigate to: Software → Tools and Resources → Software Licenses & Subscription Management

3. Under Software Management, select Devices, then click Offline Activation and Return.

4. Under Step 2, drag and drop the previously generated .XML request file, then click Generate Response File.

5. Download the generated Response File.

Step 3: Complete the Activation
1. Return to the License Manager on the offline computer.
2. Upload the downloaded response file when prompted.
3. Follow the remaining prompts to complete the license activation.
