What would Cause the Control Expert License Running in a Virtual Machine to Fail?

Attempts to repair a Control Expert license running in a virtual machine would fail.

Resolution
Attempts to repair a Control Expert license that becomes untrusted after moving the VM to another host PC, fails. and the following
message is returned.

10-28-2019,14:15:24:626,ActBrick,ERR,2316, 9424,Response Action (Deny): Repair Deny, FulfillmentId: FID_17f6002f_16999dd36ed_4060,
Reason: 7581; Request includes a license that got untrusted and cannot be repaired. In case you are working on a virtual machine, it is not allowed for copy protection reasons to clone a virtual machine that includes licenses. A-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX Solution: Please return your license
from the original virtual

This works as designed.

The Control Expert license cannot be repaired if it is installed in a virtual machine.

To resolve the issue, the license must be returned from the original VM running on the host PC that was used to activate it.

It can then be activated in the virtual machine running on the new host PC.
