How to Trigger SBO Relays in the Graphic User Interface GUI

Issue:

Users need to execute Select-Before-Operate (SBO) commands through the SAGE RTU web interface GUI (Config@Web).

Product:

SAGE RTU 14x0, 2x00, 3030, 3030M

Environment:

Config@Web interface w/ HTTPS enabled, proper user roles configured, RTU in Remote mode

Cause:

The SBO command process requires specific steps and permissions within the Config@Web interface to ensure secure and accurate relay operations.

Resolution:

  1. Log in to the Config@Web interface using a Command-privileged account.
  2. Navigate to the Command tab and select Control.
  3. Choose the desired SBO point.
  4. Set Trip/Close and Execute Time if needed.
  5. Click Execute to trigger the command.
  6. Ensure:
    • The RTU is in Remote mode.
    • HTTPS and user roles are properly configured.
  7. All actions will be recorded in the Command Log for auditing.
  8. For detailed instructions, refer to the Config@Web manual (page 172+) attached in the related tab.
