In 1924, France's Telemechanique pioneered the world's first device capable of remotely opening and closing electrical circuits with an electromagnetic mechanism. This innovative device was aptly named the Contacteur. Over the next century, this initial invention evolved into a comprehensive family of “control and protection” devices, each iteration building on the last.
Schneider Electric, honoring this legacy, adopted the initials “Te” from Telemechanique and “Sys” from System to create the TeSys series. This series not only continues the tradition of innovation but also pushes the boundaries by integrating connectedness and intelligence into its products.
The TeSys series stands as a testament to a century of progress, offering connected and intelligent solutions for managing motors and electrical loads. It’s more than a product line—it's a symbol of our commitment to continuous innovation and the evolution of electrical management systems.

TeSys provides a comprehensive range of main protection devices that can not only protect against multiple failures, e.g. short circuits, overload, locked rotor, ground fault or phase imbalance/loss), but enable the isolation and manual switch on/off control of a motor - rated from 0.4 A – 630 A (0.06 kW – 315 kW).
