Loading settings onto a VAMP relay that doesn't have the same complete part number.

Can the settings file from a VPG210‑001361 relay be directly loaded into a VAMP 210‑5A7ADA‑3.20 relay using VAMPset?

Cause

VAMP relays rely on their complete part number and firmware version to determine feature sets, hardware options, and supported configuration parameters. Differences in part numbers or firmware versions make setting files incompatible and may lead to functional mismatch or errors.

Resolution

A settings file cannot be loaded into a VAMP relay if the complete part numbers do not match exactly. Each relay with a different part number must be manually configured to ensure proper operation.

Additionally, even if the part numbers match, the settings file cannot be loaded if the firmware versions are different. In such cases, settings must be recreated manually or the firmware must be aligned before attempting to load the file.
