Can you convert a PQ4620G horizontal busway plug in unit to a PS4620G vertical busway unit in the field?

No you cannot convert the mounting. These plug in units cannot be mounted for both horizontal and vertical mounting.
There are some smaller bus plugs where you can add an adapter kit for mounting a horizontal plug in unit for a vertical application or where you can mount a horizontal plug in unit for both horizontal and vertical applications. You will need to consult with the current Digest (usually in the notes) for adapter kits and or additional mounting options.
