Issue:
Is there a minimum and maximum operating temperature for the MTZ breaker when using in higher than 40 DEG C ambient temperatures ?
Product:
MTZ Breaker
Environment:
Application
Cause:
Product Features
Resolution:
The MTZ breaker can operate within -25 DEG C to + 70DEG C temperature range and a re-rating multiplier needs to be applied with higher than 40 DEG C per the ANSI temperature re-rating Chart .
For example:
+ 40 DEG C ambient =100% rated Amps
+50 DEG C ambient = 92% rated amps. This would calculate out for example, to a 1000A trip sensor X .92 derating factor equaling a real trip amperage of 920A .
