How to view displacement power factor in advanced ION architecture meters?
Issue
The customer is interested in getting the value of the displacement power factor from one of the advanced ION architecture meters.

Environment
PM8000, ION7400, ION9000, ION9000TS, ION7x50, ION8650

Cause
By design, though the meter supports both displacement and true power factor, the meter front panel shows the true power factor only. [1]

Resolution
One of the arithmetic modules (Arithmetic Module 11 in case of PM8K, ION9K, if the connections in the arithmetic module that comes with the default template have not been modified) in the meter, outputs the mean displacement power factor  (DPF mean) for all 3 phases.

Armed with this information, one can configure a custom screen in the meter that connects to the arithmetic module and displays the displacement power factor. Steps to configure a custom screen can be found in FA253222.
