With the Modbus communication link, remote control orders such as opening and closing of the breaking device or activation/inhibition of Sepam functions can be transmitted to Sepam 1000+.
The remote control orders may be carried out in 2 modes:
- direct mode: the remote control order is effective as soon as it is received
- SBO, Select Before Operate mode: the remote control order is executed in 2 steps, after reception by Sepam of 2 coherent orders, first the selection order and then the execution order.

The SBO mode is safer.
