Issue
Customer has a modem type that is not in the ION enterprise modem database and would like to add a new modem.

Cause
If a customer has a modem type that is not in the ION Enterprise modem database, it is possible to add a new modem

Resolution
To configure custom modem settings:

1. Download the nonmodem setup tool from the FTP site
2. Visit the modem manufacturer web site to get the AT strings.
3. You will need to copy a modem setting (so that USER appears after the modem type) then you can adjust the settings & save. This will then be available in the management console as a selectable modem type.
