Goals and Symptoms

The meter's Snapshot Recorder has been configured into a state that causes many warning events to be recorded in the System Log of ION:Enterprise, as per:

This has been traced to the snapshot recorder having source inputs but no depth to record into. We have not determined what allowed this configuration to occur, but we do have a resolution.

Causes and Fixes

Connect to the meter in ION Designer or ION Setup and open the Snapshot Recorders setup parameters

1. Identify the particular Snapshot Recorder that has source inputs but no depth.
2. You will need to add depth to the Data Recorder before it will allow you to disable the sources.
3. Once you have created a depth of at least 1 record, you will be able to delete the sources of the recorder.
4. Reduce the number of records back to 0. This will disable the snapshot recorder, and prevent the warning from populating the system log.
