StruxureWare | Can I install Data Center Expert on my own server?

Issue:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE) is only supported on hardware provided by APC /Schneider Electric

Cause:
StruxureWare Data Center expert is a highly customized operating system.

Resolution:

StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE) is not supported as in install directly on any 3rd party hardware. There are specific drivers that are included in the system and we will not properly install on any hardware other than those sold by APC / Schneider Electric. Additionally, the install limits the amounts of devices that can be monitored based on the hardware on which it is installed.

If you must use 3rd party hardware, you can install VMware on that hardware and use the AP94VMTRL trial version of DCE and activate it using the AP94VMACT. With that, you have your own hardware as well as a supported system for running StruxureWare DCE in a virtual environment.
