Looking for a way to protect a numeric display from unauthorized changes.

Resolution:
In order to password protect a variable, you must define a security group and a user first. Once this is done, you can enable the security setting for the particular numeric display for the variable. By doing this, anyone who wants to write to this variable will need to login first.
