The DC component for the ranges of circuit breakers HVX Evolis, EasyPact EXE, LF, and SF is 30%.
This value is in accordance with the IEC 62271-100.
The time constant is 45 ms.
Due to special applications such as generator applications, the requirement of DC% will be much higher.
For HVX generator version the DC% can be up to around 75% with a time constant 133 ms for 100% short circuit current switching.
The test was performed according to IEEE C37.013 or IEC_IEEE 62271-37-013.
