Cannot install Ecostruxure Control Expert V14 (Unity Pro V14) due to error code 0x800f081f

Issue: During the installation of the Ecostruxure Control Expert installation pre-requisite files, .NET Framework 3.5 may fail on Windows 10 with error code 0x800f081f.

Product Line: Ecostruxure Control Expert V14, Unity Pro all versions

Resolution: During the installation of .NET Framework 3.5 on a Windows 10 PC, it is possible that you will have the error code 0x800f081f while installing Ecostruxure Control Expert. The reason for this is because you likely do not have internet access or privileges to access Windows Updates from the Microsoft Update server. To resolve this, you will need to install .NET Framework 3.5 from your original Windows 10 installation media. Please find the DVD or Image that you used to install Windows 10. Once you have it inserted in your PC, please do the following:

1) Open a Command Prompt (Run as Administrator)
2) Type the following command:
dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:[Drive]:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
Note: Replace [Drive] with the drive letter of your Windows 10 installation media.

This will install the .NET Framework 3.5. Once it is complete, restart the installation of Ecostruxure Control Expert 14.
