Why is my ATV320 Display Screen Blank?

Issue:

ATV320 display screen is blank.

Product Line:

Altivar 320

Environment:

All

Cause:

n/a

Resolution:

If using a remotely mounted keypad, try removing to see if the faceplate display works ok?   May indicate a bad keypad or cable connection.

Connecting Ethernet to the Modbus Serial port on the drive will pull down the internal power supply causing the local display to go out.  Disconnect any connection to the port and if the display comes on, verify the type of connection.

Before measuring any voltages be sure to review proper safety messages in the Manual, wear proper PPE and use appropriate caution.
Should only be performed by a qualified person
.

Check the input voltages at L1, L2 and L3.

Measure the DC bus ( PA/+ to PC/-). You should read the {Line Voltage x 1.414} around 680v dc, if 460v system, or 340v dc, if 230v system.

If you have no measurable voltage on PA to PC, check your Line Terminals to ground on the Drive.

If line voltage (measured on the L1,L2,L3 terminals of the drive) is correct, but DC bus voltage is low/zero, then there is likely an internal issue in the in the drive.

Perform a static check on the inputs, to confirm.

If the line voltage and DC bus are ok, then would suggest to check +10v dc and +24v dc to COM.
