How to perform an Auto-Diagnostics Test on an ATV61 or ATV71 Drive?

Run the auto-diagnostics test if you experience:

• Short circuit faults
• Suspected internal component failure
• Unexplained drive behavior

1.- Access the Diagnostics Menu

• Navigate to: Menu 1.10 – DIAGNOSTICS

• Choose “Test Procedures” from the menu
• Select the specific test you want to run

3.- Start the Test

• A warning message will appear
• Press and hold the ENT (Enter) key for 2 seconds to begin

4.- Understanding Test Results

For each IGBT tested, results are displayed on two lines:

• Line 1: Indicates if a short circuit is detected
• Line 2: Indicates if the component is open (no continuity)

• ATV61 drives ≥ 18.5 kW (M3 and N4 ranges)
• All ATV61...Y models

Extended test results (Thyristors 4–12 and IGBTs 1B–6B) are only available for:

• ATV61EC90N4 to M14N4
• ATV61EM15Y to M24Y
