EAE24.1: Add devices option is not visible when we launch Ethernet IP Configurator in Ecostruxure Automation Expert.
This knowledge base article explains user on how to resolve when ADD option is not visible for adding devices in Ethernet IP Configurator in Ecostruxure Automation Expert 24.1.
This issue is observed when a particular folder located at " C:\Programdata\Schneider Electric\EtherNet_IP Configurator\FdtXmlSchemas", does not have Read/Write access rights for the user logged in. This might happen when tried to install the software without Admin rights. To resolve the issue, Kindly add the logged in User and provide full RW access rights to that Folder as shown below.
After the above settings performed, open the Ecostruxure Automation Expert and open the EIP Configurator. Then user can see that the ADD option is available for adding the devices.
