Environment
- Applies to UPS ID 1062 and UPS ID 1063
- Occurs when running UPS firmware earlier than version 05.1
Cause
Firmware versions prior to 05.1 include control changes introduced in firmware 04.9, which result in a higher sensitivity of the UPS to internal detection thresholds, causing more frequent transitions from on‑line to on‑battery.
Resolution
Firmware version 05.1 includes a revised algorithm that reduces the internal sensitivity threshold, significantly decreasing unnecessary transfers to battery. To ensure optimal behavior and overall system stability, upgrade the UPS firmware to the latest version available.
