Firmware Update Notice for Select Smart-UPS SRT Models
Issue:
Under certain conditions, a firmware update may not complete as intended. In these cases, the UPS may no longer accept firmware updates and cannot be restored through standard field recovery procedures. Please review this FAQ in its entirety before proceeding.
Product Line:
Smart-UPS SRT 1 to 10 kVA models with the IDs listed below
NOTE: Smart-UPS Ultra models are not affected
Environment:
UPS models with IDs: 101x, 102x, 104x, 108x, 109x
Note: Every Smart-UPS has a unique UPS ID. This can be found in the "About" menu on the UPS LCD screen, or in the NMC web interface.
Cause:
A condition has been identified within the firmware update process that may prevent the update from completing as intended on affected units.
Resolution:
As a precautionary measure, certain firmware files have been temporarily removed from the Firmware Upgrade Wizard and related support articles. We are actively working on an updated solution and this FAQ will be revised as additional information becomes available.
