How to solve the error message "There is an incorrect username or password…" when downlaoding to a HMISCU?

Issue

When trying to download the Vijeo Designer portion to the HMISCU from Machine Expert, the following error is displayed:

"There is an incorrect username or password in the target property's download configuration. Please verify the information and try again."

Environment

Machine Expert v2.3 with Vijeo Designer embedded v6.3.2.16 and newer

Cause

On recent Machine Expert with Vijeo Designer embedded versions, User Rights (security) has been implemented to the HMISCU targets. The username and password information must also be added on the Vijeo Designer side to download to the target.

Resolution

When using User Rights (security) on the HMISCU, the username and password must also be added on the Vijeo Designer side.

In Vijeo Designer:

-Click on the target HMISCU

-On the Property Inspector, expand Download

-User Management is Enabled by default

-Click on the 3 dots next to User Management

-Add the HMISCU security information

Another option is to disable the User Rights on the HMISCU, this way the username and password will not be required.
