Issue
Below error is noticed while opening Application Configuration Utility (ACU) Tool
Unable to find the master.dbf file at: ‘’. (This path is set in the app’s configuration file.)

Also notice below error while starting Runtime Manager-
Power SCADA INI File Path Not Specified. Please correct the INI file.


Environment
Power SCADA Expert
Power SCADA Operation (PSO)
EcoStruxure Power Operation (EPO) 2021


Cause
Multiple versions of PSO install and uninstall leave some orphaned windows registry keys in the machine and this causes the errors stated earlier.
This error observed when the older version of PSO installed after newer version is uninstalled in the same machine.

Resolution
* Warning: This article contains information about editing/deleting the windows registry. Improper changes to the registry can permanently damage the operating system. Always backup the registry before making any changes. *

First identify the version of PSO running in the machine, then except this version of PSO delete registry key folders at below two locations for other versions of PSO which is already uninstalled.

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citect\SCADA Installs\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Schneider Electric\Power SCADA Operation\Configurator\
