How to import Ecostruxure Control Expert variables to Ecostruxure Operator Terminal Expert 3.2 SP2?

Issue:

How to link variables from Ecostruxure Control Expert to Ecostruxure Operator Terminal Expert 3.2 SP2?

Product Line:

Ecostruxure Control Expert, Ecostruxure Operator Terminal Expert 3.2 SP2

Resolution:

You need to import the variables using the Symbol Link tool in EOTE, as shown below:

1.- Click on Symbol Link under Variables.

2.-Then click on +Symbol above.

3.-Specify your format file .XVM and click on Import.

4.- Browse your .XVM file and click Open.

Navigator

It is important that there are caveats:

1.- There's no way to "Update" the Link. They have to be deleted and re-Link if changes are made.

2.-If you delete the Link, you lose all your Variables, Logging and Alarms from that old session.

3.- There is no way to pick and choose a subset of Variables to import - which means EVERYTHING gets imported - this could be 100,000 variables... Then you have to delete the variables you don't want ONE BY ONE.
