Powerlogic EM3570 – CT Primary and Secondary Settings Cannot Be Modified
Issue
The customer reports that the Powerlogic EM3570 meter does not allow configuring the primary and secondary values for the CTs, and they are unsure why these options are unavailable.
Product
Powerlogic EM3570 Energy Meter, METSEEM3570, METSEEM3570A, METSEEM3570X, METSEEM3570AX
Environment
Installations using Powerlogic EM3570 meters in systems requiring current transformer (CT) configuration.
Cause
The Powerlogic EM3570 product line includes two different models, each designed for specific CT technologies:
- LVCT Version – Supports Low‑Voltage CTs, where the CT ratio can be configured by the user. Part number METSEEM3570X.
- Rogowski Version – Designed to work with Rogowski coils, where the CT ratio cannot be changed. Part number METSEEM3570AX
In the Rogowski version, the CTs are factory‑calibrated for a wide measurement range, typically from 50 A up to 2000 A, with a proportional secondary output. Because of this integrated calibration, the device locks the CT ratio field, preventing any modification.
Resolution
If the configuration menu does not allow changing CT primary or secondary values, the meter model is the Rogowski CT version, where CT ratio settings are intentionally fixed.
To adjust CT ratios, the customer would need to use the LVCT-compatible model instead.
If unsure which model they have, verify the device label or ordering code to confirm whether it is the LVCT or Rogowski version.
CT ratios are Read-Only on Rogowski model:
