PME - Totalizer or other Arithmetic Module calculation stopped working

Issue

A totalizer or other calculation stopped displaying in Vista/Diagrams or stopped logging. The calculation is from an Arithmetic Module in a VIP, and the output is either stale or n/a:

Cause

There is a communication or configuration problem with either the inputs or a formula in the Setup Registers of the Arithmetic Module.

Resolution

1. Hold Shift + right-click the input to the Arithmetic Module to check for n/a values or communication errors.

2. If one or more inputs show a missing value or have an error:

• If the input is from a device, either unlink it or resolve the communication issue.
• If the input is from another module, check the inputs to that module.

3. If the inputs all show a value and no errors are shown, edit the Arithmetic Module and refer to ION Reference to confirm the formulas are configured correctly.

4. If some n/a values are expected or can't be resolved immediately, consider setting N/A Conversion in the Setup Registers of the Arithmetic Module. This will convert n/a inputs to a specific value to allow the calculations to continue working.
