Resolution
SEPAM Series 20/40
The SEPAM Series 20 & 40 can have a total of 3 remote modules maximum. These remote modules are daisy chained from the "D" port located on the back of the base unit of the relay. In order to daisy chain the modules, a CCA77X cord is connected from the "D" port of the relay to the "Da" port of the 1st module, then another CCA77X cord is connected from the "Dd" port of the 1st module to the "Da" port of the 2nd module, and so forth......
There are also several rules that must be followed when daisy chaining these modules:
1. If using a MSA141 module (analog output), the module must be the first module located on the daisy chain coming from the relay.
2. If using a DSM303 module (remote display), the module me be the last module located on the daisy chain coming from the relay.
3. The last module on the daisy chain must have the jumper set to "RC", which terminates the daisy chain. All other modules must have the jumper set to . The DSM303 module does not posses this jumper.
SEPAM Series 80
The SEPAM Series 80 can have a total of 5 remote modules maximum. A maximum of 3 modules can be daisy chained from the "D1" port and another 2 modules can be daisy chained from the "D2" port. In order to daisy chain the modules, a CCA77X cord is connected from the "D1" port of the relay to the "Da" port of the 1st module, then another CCA77X cord is connected from the "Dd" port of the 1st module to the "Da" port of the 2nd module, and so forth...... If the maximum of 3 modules connected to the "D1" port has been reached, the additional 4th and 5th modules need to be daisy chained from the "D2" port.
3. The MCS025 sync-check module must always be connected to the "D2" port on the relay in line with the analog module MSA141 if used. In order to connect the sync-check module, a special CCA785 cord is required.
4. The last module on the daisy chain must have the jumper set to "RC", which terminates the daisy chain. All other modules must have the jumper set to . The DMS303 and MCS025 modules do not posses these jumpers.
