An ION 8500 with firmware v280 is considered a RevB meter. This means that the meter has been repaired with parts from an ION 8600 meter.
Even though the hardware is slightly different, the templates are compatible between an ION 8500v264 RevA and an ION 8500v280 RevB meter.
