Facts and Changes
V3.1SP1
Causes and Fixes
Customized EF / EFB Family using Elementary Function Block( EFB)Toolkit.
The EF / EFB are used in the Control Templates.
To Generate the Control Templates, the Family (EFB /EF) must be installed in the Libset of the Unity Pro Participant included in the Virtual Machine of Struxureware.
I. Step1: The Family Install Form generated by the EFBToolKit must be adapted before to be copied in the Struxureware PE environment
1. The EF / EFB Family Install Form has been created from the Unity EFBToolKit (Refer to example of install form below).
2. This EF / EFB Family Install Form must be put under a directory named Patchyyyymmdd where:
yyyy: Represents the year of creation of the EF / EFB Family
mm: Represents the month of creation of the EF / EFB Family
dd: Represents the day of creation of the EF / EFB Family.
3. To be installed in the Libset of the Unity Pro participant, a command file Path.Bat must be created and added in the Install form.
4. To create this command file use for example the Notepad editor and write the following command line:
The path “C:\Program Files\Schneider Electric\Unity Pro” represents the location of Unity Pro
in the Struxureware PE Virtual Machine (Windows 7 32 bits is used in the VM).
The “SetupEF.exe” command will be executed by Struxureware PE to install the EF / EFB
family in the Unity Pro Libset.
The “%~dp0family.dsc” –i –h are the parameters which indicate to the SetupEF command the
family file (family.dsc) which contains the installation information.
5. The command file Path.bat must be saved in the same folder (Patchyyyymmdd) containing the Family Install Form.
II. Step2: The Family Install Form must be copied in the Struxureware PE Environment
The folder Patchyyyymmdd containing the Install form of the EF / EFB Family must be copied in the Struxureware PE System.
Depending on the Windows 7 Operating System installed on the machine it must be copied under:
Windows 7 64 bits: C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Struxureware\Process Expert\System Server\VM\Patches.
III. Step3: Installation of the EF /EFB family in the Libset of Unity Pro belonging to VM of Struxureware PE
To Update the Unity Pro Libset:
1. Start the Struxureware PE Server.
2. Press the F2 key to display the VM Configuration Window.
3. Check the option “Force saved states generation’, this option will be unchecked automatically for the next restart.
Start the Struxureware PE Client.
Control that the EF / EFB Family is installed in the Unity Pro Libset by opening the Control Participant from the Topological Explorer or the Project Explorer.
