Sometimes, when it is necessary to troubleshoot the Virtual ViewX server, enabling extra log files can be helpful. Those logs and ViewX log files should give the Technical Support team a good starting point for the troubleshooting process.
In order to enable logs for VirtualUI please follow these steps on the VirtualViewX server machine:

LogDir=C:\Log\VirtualUI
Level=0
DefaultLevel=0
Enabled=True
LogDir=C:\Log\VUILib
Level=0
DefaultLevel=0
Once the issue happens, grab all files under “C:\log” folder and sub-folders and send to Technical Support. Send also ViewX log files. Please also inform the exact time of the issue and what was being done at that time.

- Create two folders that will contain the log files, for example “C:\Log\VirtualUI” and “C:\Log\VUILib”
- Stop ThinfinityVirtualUI Service:
- Go to “C:\Log” and create two “.ini” files (you can use notepad, just remember to change the file extension from .txt to .ini), “VirtualUI.ini” and “Thinfinity.VUILib.ini” (make sure File Explorer shows the file name extension):
- Edit “VirtualUI.ini”, paste the text below and save:

LogDir=C:\Log\VirtualUI
Level=0
DefaultLevel=0
- Edit “Thinfinity.VUILib.ini”, paste the text below and save:
Enabled=True
LogDir=C:\Log\VUILib
Level=0
DefaultLevel=0
- Cut both “VirtualUI.ini” and “Thinfinity.VUILib.ini” from “c:\Log” and paste to “C:\Program Files\Schneider Electric\VirtualViewX\bin64” folder (you will need Administrative rights to do this):
- Start ThinfinityVirtualUI Service:
- Now enable the Application Event Log from the Virtual ViewX Manager > Folders tab:
