Issue:
Can the ATV320 be used for Conical brake motors

Product Line:
Altivar 320, Altivar 340, Altivar 930

Environment:
All model numbers, all serial numbers

Cause:
Conical Rotor, Tapered Rotor motor

Resolution:

Yes the ATV320, ATV340, ATV930 can be used to control Conical Motor - Tapered Rotor motor

Set boA to “Static”
Set boo to -80% (minus 80%)
Set FAb to 3Hz

Boo will directly influence the fluxing current. With a negative current boost you will decrease the fluxing current and it will be enough to engage the rotor to the stator.
