My Smart UPS Modular Ultra has a battery module error right after installation

Issue:
One of the battery modules has an error after installation
Error example: C2A1

Cause
This error happens when there a multiple battery modules on different firmware's

Resolution:
Please verify what firmware your battery module is running by going into the About->UPS->Battery (Modules) menu on the display or NMC.  If the battery with an error is running firmware 0.8.37, please let the system upgrade the battery module firmware.  In order to upgrade, leave the battery module installed.  The UPS will automatically upgrade the battery module to the latest firmware (0.8.44) after about 1 hour.  Once the battery module firmware has been upgraded, the error should clear.  If the module is already running firmware 0.8.44 or the error does not clear after update to 0.8.44, please call technical support to get it replaced.
