Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA UPS Firmware Update Guide
Introduction:
Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA UPS models feature user updateable UPS firmware. This allows for ongoing improvements, feature enhancements, and cybersecurity remediations of Smart-UPS products after deployment.
Product Lines:
- Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA models with an embedded Network Management Card (NMC): SRTL2K2RM1UNC, SRTL2K2RM1UINC, SRTL3KRM1UNC, SRTL3KRM1UINC
- Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA models with SmartConnect port: SRTL2K2RM1UC, SRTL2K2RM1UIC, SRTL3KRM1UC, SRTL3KRM1UIC
Environment:
UPS units with ID1062, ID1063, ID1034, ID1035
Resolution:
Important: During a firmware update, battery backup is unavailable. Devices powered by this UPS will not be protected from power failures.
There are several methods available to update the UPS firmware.
How to update the UPS firmware using SmartConnect?

This method is only available for Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA models with a SmartConnect port.
Firmware upgrades are automatically made available for your UPS via the Schneider Electric Cloud. When a new firmware version is available for your device, the following status screen will appear on the UPS LCD:
To initiate the UPS firmware update, navigate to the "Configuration" menu, select "Install FW" and press the "✓" button.
How to update the UPS firmware using the Firmware Upgrade Wizard?

This method is available for all Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA models
If a previous version of the Firmware Upgrade Wizard is installed, delete the old version of the application first.
Download the latest version of the Firmware Upgrade Wizard compressed ZIP file as well as the Firmware Upgrade Wizard User Guide.
The Firmware Upgrade Wizard compressed ZIP file contains the executable file bundled with all necessary UPS firmware files. Read the Firmware Upgrade Wizard User Guide before performing the update. The User Guide provides a complete step by step walk through of the process including all necessary screenshots. The complete process may take 15-30 minutes.

Read the Firmware Upgrade Wizard User Guide before performing the update. The User Guide provides a complete step by step walk through of the process including necessary screenshots and additional download links. The complete process may take 15-30 minutes, depending on the network speed.
