Issue
Deleting or adding a new variable to the connected PLC causes error messages in the OFS server log when using the .xvm symbol table file.

Product Line
OFS

Environment
Windows 10

Resolution
Addding or deleting a variable in the connected PLC causes OFS to return a 'Inconsistency detected' and 'failed
generating...' messages.   This problem occurs when using the '.xvm' method for obtaining the symbol variables.

i.e.,

19/04 15:28:31 232ms : NETMAN : MBT:192.168.132.151 Error, failed generating write request for : L1SP_MAINBLOWSTEP02O2VOLPERC.
19/04 18:56:16 608ms : UNITY Device : MBT:192.168.132.151 Inconsistency detected. (uid: 21235)

The reason the error messages appear is because when a change is made to the Data Editor table (adding or deleting variables) in the Unity
application that is connected to the PLC will, it result in a mismatch between the list of variables within the OFS Server database and the PLC
application.

The following steps must be performed.if any variables are deleted or added to the Unity application while it is
connected PLC,
  • Shutdown the OFS server.
  • Obtain a new exported '.xvm' file from Unity.
  • Start OFS
  • Update the symbol table file path with the new '.xvm' pathname filename.
  • Save the changes.
  • Restart the OFS server.
