Deploying the Physical Data Center Expert Appliance

Follow the installation instructions provided with the appliance for Rack Mounting and Powering the appliance.

Deploying the Virtual Data Center Expert Appliance

The software has a monitoring limit of five nodes (devices and surveillance cameras) and will operate in trial mode for 90 days.
During this time, some features will be temporarily restricted, such as server upgrades, device firmware updates, and video surveillance clip retrieval. Video clips will continue to be recorded.

It is highly recommended to increase the amount of storage that Data Center Expert has within VMWare and HyperV.  Follow the explicit details outlined in the knowledge base below if you choose to add additional disk space:

Getting Data Center Expert on the Network

Start by ensuring that your Data Center Expert (DCE) Appliance is powered on and is physically connected to a network.

Licensing subscription and Software Support

If you have active DCE licenses under support contracts they will be upgraded to version 9.0.  This upgrade will transition your license management into mySchneider Software Management, which simplifies license handling and provides easier access to the latest software updates.
