How do I transfer an EcoStruxure Power Commission license from one laptop to another?

EPC licenses are locked to a specific laptop once activated. From EPC version 2.27 onwards, you can transfer a license by deactivating it on the source laptop and re‑activating it on the target laptop using the same activation key. This avoids the need to purchase a new license when changing laptops.

Preconditions

  • EPC license is already activated on the source laptop
  • Both source and target laptops have EPC v2.27 or higher installed
  • Active internet connection on both laptops

Step 1: How do I deactivate the license on the source laptop?

Launch EPC on the source laptop. Click the Info (i) icon at the top‑right corner. Select Purchase and Activate. Locate the activated package. Click "Deactivate" and confirm
