How to correctly uninstall the Unitelway driver to reinstall it later if DriverManager cannot recognize the TSX C USB 485 cable?
Context
Sometimes it happens that a TSX C USB 485 cable which works very well is not recognized by DriverManager. To adjust, simply proceed as follows:
First of all,Open Windows start menu → Control Panel → Programs and Features → Right click on Unitelway Driver X64 then select Uninstall
After that, please do the following :
  • Change the name of attachment file as Release-PerUserDrivers.ps1.
  • Right click this file and choose ‘Run with PowerShell’ to run this script file.
  • There will be a log file named as ‘Release-PerUserDrivers.log’ on the desktop.
  • There are some words like this in the log as the blow:
Checking registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData

Unitelway Driver X64 003.023.00000 (14.13) was installed on 2022-08-09 for user xxx\xxxx
would delete Windows Installer registry key S-1-5-21-3548318340-4179135238-1760686114-1002\Products\3D478988BA188274BA5AFB29B8A99636
would delete setup reference file C:\windows\System32\Unitelw.dll, last modified 2019-02-06
  • Remove the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\ S-1-5-18\Products\3D478988BA188274BA5AFB29B8A99636. In the log, it is another GUID.
  • Delete or rename the file C:\Windows\System32\ Unitelw.dll.
  • Reinstall the Uniteway Driver installer. It will be OK.
